Support Group Meeting Schedule
Visit a support group meeting.
The psychological boost of finding that you are not alone facing this disease can make the difference
between giving up and deciding to stay involved in living in spite of Parkinson's disease.

1st MONDAY AFTERNOON - Meets the first Monday of each month from 2:00PM - 3:30PM at Lifespan, 1900 South Clinton Ave (Tops Brighton Plaza between Elmwood & Westfall). Hosted by Cheryl Deeley, RN, University of Rochester.

1st TUESDAY EVENING - CARING AND SHARING ABOUT PARKINSON'S DISEASE  - Meets the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00PM - 7:30PM at Lifetimes 3111 Winton Road South across from Valley Cadillac. Facilitated by Amy Cheshire, LCSW-R, MSG, University of Rochester. The group focuses on issues related to the daily emotional and practical demands of Parkinson's Disease including family/care partner issues. In addition, the group shares work related concerns including maintaining employment, dealing with disability processes and adjusting to retirement with Parkinson's Disease.
3rd SATURDAY LUNCH TIME GROUP - The Lunch Bunch - Meets from 11:30 AM - about 1:30 PM. Note new meeting location beginning in September, 2009. Hosted by Carol Look. This group meets for lunch at Bill Gray's Penfield restaurant - (Panorama Trail & Old Penfield Road, accross from Walgreen's drug store).
4th TUESDAY AFTERNOON GROUP - Meets from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM , Greece Town Hall, Senior Center Complex Room D, 11 Vince Tofany Blvd. The Senior Center is on the north end of the Greece Town Hall.
LAST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FINGER LAKES GROUP - Meets from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM , First Congregational Church of Canandaigua, 58 North Main Street, Canandaigua NY. Faciliated by John Paul & Pat Smith. Enter the Church through the rear door and follow the "Parkinson Support Group" signs.

CARE GIVERS and CARE PARTNERS GROUP - Meets for lunch on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Hosted by Carol Look. Meeting locations for this Group vary. Watch this web site or phone 234-5355 for information and location of upcoming meetings.Note: Until further notice, this group will meet at the Fairport Baptist Home (4646 Nine Mile Point Rd - Route 250 just north of the village of Fairport).
