Support Group Meeting Schedule

Visit a support group meeting.
The psychological boost of finding that you are not alone facing this disease can make the difference
between giving up and deciding to stay involved in living in spite of Parkinson's disease.

1st MONDAY AFTERNOON GROUP- Meets the first Monday of each month from 2:00PM - 3:30PM at Lifespan, 1900 South Clinton Ave (Tops Brighton Plaza between Elmwood & Westfall). Facilitated by Cheryl Deeley, MS RNc, University of Rochester.


YOUNG ONSET 1st MONDAY EVENING GROUP - Meets the first Monday of each month from 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM at Neurology Westfall Clinic, 919 Westfall Road, Bldg C, Suite 220, Rochester. Facilated by Courtney Bishop.
1st TUESDAY EVENING - CARING AND SHARING ABOUT PARKINSON'S DISEASE  GROUP - Meets the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00PM - 7:30PM at Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South (across from Valley Cadillac). Facilitated by Jane Swinton, LCSW University of Rochester. The group focuses on issues related to the daily emotional and practical demands of Parkinson's Disease including family/care partner issues. In addition, the group shares work related concerns including maintaining employment, dealing with disability processes and adjusting to retirement with Parkinson's Disease. Facilated by Debra Fromm Faria LCSW, ACSW.

3rd SATURDAY LUNCH BUNCH GROUP - Meets the third Saturday of each month from 11:30 AM - about 1:30 PM. for lunch at Bill Gray's Penfield restaurant - (Panorama Trail & Old Penfield Road, accross from Walgreen's drug store). Facilitated by Carol Look

4th WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WEST SIDE GROUP - Meets the forth Wednesday of each month from 12:00 N - 1:30 PM at The Legacy Park Crescent, 1000 Park Circle (off Mt. Read Blvd just north of Stone Road) Faciliated by Dee Drysdale.

LAST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FINGER LAKES GROUP - Meets the last Wednesday of each month from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM at the First Congregational Church of Canandaigua, 58 North Main Street, Canandaigua NY. Faciliated by Mark Syverud. Enter the Church through the rear door and follow the "Parkinson Support Group" signs.

CARE GIVERS and CARE PARTNERS GROUP - Meets for lunch on the 2nd Saturday of each month. at the Fairport Baptist Home (4646 Nine Mile Point Rd - Route 250 just north of the village of Fairport). Hosted by Carol Look. Follow the signs inside the Fairport Baptist Home or ask the Receptions for directions to the meeting room.
