5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk for a Cure for Parkinson Disease
.
Sunday, April 22, 2007

The success of the 2007 Parkinson Canal 5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk is due in large measure to the months of unselfish hard work and total dedication of Race Director Pete Smith and his Run/Walk committee members Nadine Catlin, Cortney Deckman, Erin McCormick, Pat McKenna, Charyll Monk, Peggy Mudd, Robyn Ruffier, Norma Smith, Judy and Jim Taylor.

A grateful salute is extended to the seventy volunteers who helped enormously at the Meridian Centre Park on Sunday and to the hundreds of runners and individual and team walkers who participated in this year's fund raising event.

Special thanks is extended to our honored guests Senator Joseph Robach and Brighton Supervisor Sandra Frankel.

In addition, well deserved appreciation goes to PSGUNY board members Harvey Berson (President), Dennis Whitney (VP), Dave Scribner (Treasurer), and Lauri Robb whose assistance and support contributed significantly to the success of this important fund raising event.

All who participated on the 22nd enjoyed beautiful weather, lots of good food, and great music and the opportunity to support on-going research which will one day (one day soon, we pray) bring a long awaited cure to the Parkinson community.

If you were not able to join us in the Meridian Centre Park on Sunday and would like to contribute to the Parkinson research effort, send your donation to PSGUNY, PO Box 23204, Rochester NY 14692.
